Let’s be honest…not everyone is a Brussel sprout fan. In fact, I never really tried them until I was in my 20’s. If you’re not a lover, this simple Maple Glazed Brussel Sprouts recipe will definitely change your mind.
I’ve been on a health kick lately but I’m so sick of the same old veggies. Every time I cook dinner it’s a basic veg on rotate. Broccoli, boring. Green beans, eh. I wanted to try something new that we typically don’t go for..Brussel Sprouts.
I like to get greens in everyday so when looking for inspo on Brussel spouts I was skeptical because they just doesn’t look that great or even sound appetizing. It’s all about the taste here people!
I figured there must be a way to make these delicious. So, with the help of YouTube and TikTok I incorporated a little mix of my own and they turned out incredible!
Ingredients you’ll need:
- Brussel Sprouts
- Olive Oil
- Salt & Pepper
- Pure Maple syrup
- Balsamic Vinegar
First, remove all the dead leaves that are brown and gross looking. Then cut the stems off and cut in half, length wise.
Toss them in a bowl with olive oil, salt and pepper. Mix well and then lay them on a baking sheet. Bake at 425F for approximately 15-20 minutes or until crispy. Half way through baking give them a little nudge/flip so they can crisp up evenly.
While these are baking, mix the maple syrup and balsamic in a small bowl. Drizzle over and toss onto the cooked Brussel sprouts while still hot. Let it sit for 2-3 minutes to absorb and caramelize before serving.
These maple glazed Brussel sprouts are so delicious. Who knew you could love something that you thought was so bland?
This recipe is pretty quick and easy and it’s the perfect side dish! I hope you enjoy.
