This is my go-to recipe for chicken cutlet strips. Essentially the same steps as if you were making chicken cutlets but so much easier since the pieces are small and it takes less time.
Too good not to try!
These chicken cutlet strips are so addicting and always seem to go too fast in our house. I like to make a big batch but if I leave them on the counter… you can forget they ever existed. Devoured in seconds.
Follow these easy steps to get these babies sizzling ASAP!
My first tip is to buy chicken stir fry cut at the store so the chicken is already pre cut to the perfect size. If they don’t have it then you can cut up raw chicken breast before getting started. Once you have your chicken pieces cut you’ll want to set up an assembly line station of you egg, bread crumbs and and extra plate for your chicken to await.
Another tip is to add any extra spices into your breadcrumb plate such as oregano, cheese, etc.
Once you’re all set up you should be good to toss the chicken (one by one) in egg first then throw into the bread crumbs until fully covered. Meanwhile, you should have pan with olive oil heating up slowly. Prep a decent amount of chicken onto a plate before you place them into the pan.
Once you have a decent amount of chicken ready and the pan is starting to sizzle add in your chicken. Keep flipping so that they cook evenly. Once they start to crisp up and darken pull them out and place them on a plate with a paper towel to observe the access oil.
I love to add some sea salt on top while they cool down.
These are so good when you squeeze fresh lemon on top. The extra zest is perfect but addicting and you’ll find yourself grabbing at the plate nonstop.
These are prefect to snack on or add to lunches throughout the week. You can make a dipping sauce and serve over a salad which is my favorite way to eat these.
You won’t regret trying these chicken cutlet strips that are such a simple way to get in a quick meal.
