Cranberry Pomegranate Cheese Dip full of Fall flavors!
This recipe is a holiday favorite with many variations but this has to be one of the best. The flavors all come together and just work perfectly. If you’re not a cranberry fan don’t be turned away just yet. I will say I definitely pass on the cranberry sauce on thanksgiving but this for sure is a tasty bite just because of all the added flavor. Can’t hurt to try!
This cranberry pomegranate cheese dip is a perfect dish to serve as an appetizer. Enjoy this while kicking off a holiday gathering, family event or just to satisfy a craving. Make sure to get all fresh ingredients when preparing this dish.
Cranberries and Pomegranates are great to have in this recipe because they are known as a superfood and are full of antioxidants, so you can feel good about snacking on this one.
What you’ll need:
- 3 cups of cranberries (fresh)
- 1 cup of Pomegranate seeds
- 2 green onions
- 1/2 jalapeño
- 1/4 cup of cilantro (fresh)
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1/2 lemon juiced
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 8 oz. cream cheese softened
- crackers of choice for dipping (we like cinnamon sugar pita chips!)
Cranberry Pomegranate Cheese Dip
Instructions
- Chop up the cranberries or use a food processor to dice up very small.
- Add in the jalapeño, cilantro, green onion, lemon, sugar and salt. Mix well until the consistency becomes more of a salsa.
- Mix in the pomegranates and place the mixture in the fridge for about an hour.
- In a pie dish, spread softened cream cheese as the bottom layer.
- Pour over the cran-pom salsa mix evenly and enjoy with crackers of choice.
