Easiest BBQ chicken nachos for those chaotic Football Sunday’s!
I’m a big nacho fan so these BBQ chicken nachos are top of the list for easy to make and versatile for toppings.
Who doesn’t love a big spread on a football Sunday? These bbq chicken nachos are a go-to for a quick recipe needed on a lazy day. This recipe has no set structure either so you can make these with any toppings you like. Sometimes we’ll do half a sheet pan with hot salsa and the other half mild just to keep options for everyone.
First step is to lay out your chips of choice. We find the Tostitos scoops are the easiest when piling on a ton of toppings. They are perfect for the bite size grab and go while holding everything together as best as possible.
Add some chicken for some extra flavor or skip this step if going meatless. I usually buy a cooked rotisserie and cut it up already prepared to save on time. Mix in some bbq sauce or sauce of choice to season or flavor the chicken before adding on top of the chips.
Next, add your favorite salsa and any toppings before being smothered with cheese. I add olives and jalapeños on this step but its all up to you and your own preference.
CHEESE it up! I add an entire package of the Mexican shredded cheese. Once it comes out of the oven I’ll sprinkle on a little extra that slowly melts perfectly as it cools down.
Preheat to 350 and cook for about 10-15 minutes or until it crisp to your liking. Once it cools down for about 5 minutes feel free to add sour cream, more salsa, extra toppings, etc.
Set this baby down in front of family and friends and enjoy!
These BBQ chicken nachos will fill you up but you can always replenish at half time.
