In our house, the kitchen is definitely the heart of the home. I spend so much time in there and love cooking for family and friends. I would not be able to function as efficeintly without having these kitchen essentials.
There are lists on lists of things I love on Amazon and my cart is always full but these items have been my go-to for simplifying life in the kitchen. Why not keep it simple?
Handheld Mixer:
Essentially, these mixers are for frothing milk, creamers, etc. I use mine daily!
Every time I make coffee in the morning I use this mixer to stir in any creamer or sugar and its just so much more efficient then grabbing a spoon every time. It even comes with a holder that you can keep right on the counter top for easy access.
I use it to stir up my smoothies if they’ve been sitting for a while. It’s great to mix powders such as collagen, protein, basically any flavoring to water..
The clean up is just as easy. Just rinse off, let it dry and place right back on the holder for the next use.
Roll out drying rack:
This drying rack is perfect if you have a smaller space to work with. I have very minimal room on my counters for a large drying rack and it always fills up so quickly. I HATE walking in the kitchen and seeing a stack of chaos waiting to be put away.
I found that this rack is easy to store away when you don’t need it and easy to set up when you do. It literally just rolls out over your sink. I use this for smaller dishes or when I don’t have much washing to do. I’ll cover half the sink with the rack and wash on the other side while loading on top. Once everything is washed I can either leave for a bit to air dry or grab a dish towel to dry and put away.
Perfect for fresh veggies and fruits that need a quick rinse. Best way to wash ingredients before prepping your meals. Doesn’t get much easier than that.
Bamboo storage jar:
I’m OBSESSED with these bamboo jars. I use it to store Celtic sea salt, since its a chunkier texture. I add salt on almost everything and this storage jar is so cute and easy to grab off the shelf for seasoning. I love the aesthetic as well and leave it right above my sink as part of the decor.
Amazon also has multi functional options with different compartments, designs, colors, etc. This could really be used for anything tiny that needs to be stored.
Clip on strainer:
Hallelujah! I found the key to my pasta laziness. NEVER do I enjoy digging out the strainer under all my pots and pans every time I boil water. We are big on pasta and I dread the minute the water is ready to be drained. It’s a scatter of “OH SHIT, get the strainer before the pasta overcooks” everytime.
Now, I have found the missing piece I never knew I needed, the clip on strainer. This kitchen essential can adjust to any pot and you’re good to go. Its flexible and small for easy storage (better then storing the oversized strainers in my opinion).
Bag Holder:
I always seem to have a mess of a designated area for the plastic bags that pile up from food shopping. I know reusable is the way to go but realistically these bags always seem to find a way in. They do come in handy for small trash, wet bathing suits, pet clean up, etc.
This bag holder is perfect to store them all in one place. This can be adjusted to the back of a cabinet door or wall. I put mine under my sink and attached it to the cabinet door which is the perfect location for a small kitchen with limited storage space. This thing looks tiny but it can hold a ton of bags. Easy to grab and load them in.
Since I spend most of my time in the kitchen, these kitchen essentials have really beed a life saver. They’re great to have around for your everyday needs. Even the most basic tasks can be simplified.
You can find these kitchen essentials for everyday use from Amazon.
